Having only required very few ingredients it is super quick and easy to make. A dollop of vanilla ice cream tops it very well.

This cake has been my most sought after cake ordered frequently and repeatedly by my esteem customers. !!!!

Ingredients

  • Wet Ingredients:

    6 Tbsp Hot water + 1 Tsp Instant Coffee
    1/2 +1/4 Cup Sugar
    1/4 Cup – Sunflower/Rice Bran Oil
    1/4 Cup Honey
    Zest of Lemon
  • Dry Ingredients:

    1 1/2 Tsp Cinnamon
    1 1/2 Cups Maida/Refined Flour
    1 Tsp Baking Powder
    1/2 Tsp Baking Soda
    Pinch of salt
    1/2 + 1/3 cups Milk ( Add Gradually)
    1 Tbsp Lemon Juice

Directions

  • In a cup take 6 Tbsp of Hot water and mix 1 tsp of instant coffee to it and place it aside.
  • Now take a large bowl and mix all the wet ingredients.
    Add 1/2 cup+1/4 cup granulated sugar and add 1/4 cup rice bran oil/refined oil to it.
    Add 1/4 cup of Honey to it, Lemon zest and coffee water
    Whisk it well
  • Now add dry Ingredients to it:
    Sieve Refined flour, baking powder, baking soda, pinch of salt together.
    Add Cinnamon powder to it
    Mix the batter once
    Add Milk gradually and keep on whisking until it forms a smooth mixture.
  • At the last add lemon juice to it and mix it gently
  • Baking
    Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius.Line the cake tin with parchment paper, grease the cake tin
    Transfer the batter, tap it once and bake it at 180 degrees for 25-30 Minutes
