Kalakand is a traditional Indian dessert, that is made by reducing milk, paneer and sugar. In this recipe I will share about How to make Instant Kalakand with Milkmaid in 10 minutes.
Kalakand is prepared by evaporating milk or solidifying it (Milkmaid ) and adding sugar in it. But here I am sharing a very quick way to make kalakand using homemade paneer, milkmaid and coconut in it to enhance taste.

Ingredients
200 grams paneer / cottage cheese (grated)
1 tin (200 gm milkmaid / condensed milk)
½ tsp cardamom powder / cardomom powder(optional)
2 tsps. ghee
Almonds, pistachios, cashews and dried rose petals to garnish
Directions
- To make Paneer: I’m using 700 ml of Full Fat milk. Bring it to boil. Add this stage add 2 TBSPS. of White Vinegar. After sometimes you will see milk has started to cuddle.
Add cold water to stop further cooking, Drain the cheese and water in Muslin cloth and squeeze to remove excess water. - In a heavy bottom pan add 2 tsp Ghee. Keep the flame low. Add 200 grams grated cheese.To it add 150 grams condensed milk.
Stir continuously to combine well. - Now in a tin add parchment paper and add all the kalakand. And garnish with chopped almonds, pistachios and dried rose petals
- Keep in refrigerator to 2 hours. Cut and serve them
